AMI 1000 II Fertilizer Irrigation Computer
A further development in the AMI series is the AMI 1000 II. The dosing pumps and electronics have been redesigned to make this a particularly sturdy mixer with a wealth of functions. With an AMI 1000 II you are ensured a high-performance irrigation system.
Recycling irrigation systems
Recycling of water and fertilizer is economical and environmentally friendly. The AMI 1000 II is intended for recycling systems with complete basin emptying, and allows the intake of both fresh water and basin water at the same time. This machine acts as the controlling mixer unit in this type of irrigation system.
Complete basin emptying
Basin emptying is an important feature, in the case of tables which are irrigated with separate fertilizer compositions, or in nurseries with a wide variation in the fertilizer mixture and pH for different cultures. The water outlet is at the bottom of the tank to ensure that the fertilizer water from the previous irrigation is completely emptied before a new irrigation with a different mixture starts. On the AMI 1000 II, it is possible to program an interval (for each valve and each group) so the water has time to leave the return water basin.
Capacity and Flexibility
With the AMI 1000 II is it possible to sprinkle and irrigate at the same time. AMI 1000 II controls up to 32 irrigation valves and 31 cooling valves. The irrigation controller in the AMI 1000 II is split into 8 groups of valves where each group can have its own fertilizer mixture, EC- and pH settings. There are built-in alarms for each group, e.g. for min. and max. EC and pH. Multiple recipes give flexible control of the fertilizer supply: several cultures with different fertilizer needs can be irrigated without having to reprogram the fertilizer mixer each time. Under each recipe you will also find options for Start, such as "start through sun radiation", evaporation, fixed time or start tray.
Why control pH?
In order to keep the different types of fertilizer in a dissolved form that can be absorbed by the plants, the irrigation water must have the correct pH value. With AMI 1000 II it is possible to choose four different dosing methods dependent on the culture, the growing method and the water quality.
EC-control based on the plants' water needs
To ensure that the plants can absorb water and fertilizer properly, AMI 1000 II automatically adjusts the fertilizer concentration and EC (electrical conductivity) dependent on the sun radiation. This secures a constant fertilizer concentration around the plant root, even when evaporation fluctuates.
DP21 Pump
To obtain exact fertilizer control, the AMI 1000 II employs the new DP21 diaphragm pump, which measures constant doses even with varied pressure. The DP21 pump has been designed using materials that stand up to harsh environments. This pump is not damaged by short periods of running dry, and is easily accessible. Furthermore, DP21 circulates the stock solution tanks so that a separate stirring system is often not required.
Extensions can be added
IGT customizes the AMI 1000 II according to the needs of each customer. Thanks to the AMI's modular construction, it is easy to extend the functions whenever more valves are added in the greenhouse, or whenever an additional fertilizer is required. Connection of external flowmeter and drain counter is also optional. The SuperLink PC-program can be used to monitor irrigation and climate control from a computer.
