Advanced Irrigation System
The AMI 5000 is the ideal piece of equipment for a recycling irrigation system, which is both economical and environmentally-friendly. To maintain constant composition of the irrigation, including constant electrical conductivity and pH, the AMI 5000 automatically controls the dosing of fertilizer, acid and fresh water in proportions. This fertilizer mixer is equally well suited for irrigation and cooling systems.
Capacity and Flexibility
The AMI 5000 controls up to 64 irrigation valves distributed on 8 optional recipes, furthermore 96 irrigation valves able to run sequentially with 1 recipe. These valves will have the highest priority since they are mainly considered for cooling of the plant leaves. AMI 5000 may also be adjusted allowing irrigation and cooling to run simultaneously with a separate pump. Each recipe is optionally composed with up to 8 fertilizers just as the ratio between these may be regulated individually. pH-value foreach recipe is adjustable by acid and/or base.
After each valve or recipe a flushing period and/or a basin emptying may be entered, and after each valve and group it is possible to program an interval thus the water has time to get to the return water basin. Up to 8 valves may irrigate in parallel or in individual order and time.
EC- and pH-Regulation
To maintain constant EC (electrical conductivity) and pH, the AMI 5000 automatically controls the dosing of fertilizer, acid and fresh water to the recycled water in the correct ratio. The AMI 5000's advanced computer monitors the EC-values every 1.0 second, ensuring an optimum dosing adjustment.
With AMI 5000 it is possible to choose four different dosing methods dependant on the culture, the growing method, and the water quality. The following dosing methods are available; acid dosing, base dosing, together with change between these.(***) Furthermore the fertilizer mixer is able to control the EC dosing corresponding to the pH value of the fresh water by means of two sets of stock solution with respectively acidic and basic reaction.
The AMI 5000 may automatically lower/increase the fertilizer concentration dependant on the sun radiation. By an extensive evaporation this secures a constant fertilizer concentration around the plant root.
DP21 Pump
To obtain precise fertilizer control, the AMI 5000 employs the new DP21 diaphragm pump, which measures constant doses even with varied pressure. The DP21 pump has been designed using materials that stand up to harsh environments. This pump is not damaged by short periods of running dry, and is easily accessible. Furthermore, DP21 circulates the stock solution tanks so that a separate stirring system is often not required.
Automatic Starting Conditions
Under each recipe setting, you will find options for start, e.g. start through sun radiation, evaporation, fixed time, start tray, and manual start. You may even combine some of these as start conditions.
Alarms
A number of built-in alarms notify the user in the event of unexpected conditions. There are alarm settings for minimum and maximum EC and pH.
Extensions can be added
IGT customizes the AMI 5000 according to the needs of each customer. Thanks to the AMI's modular construction, it is easy to extend the functions whenever more valves are added in the greenhouse, or whenever an additional fertilizer is required. Connection of external flowmeter and drain counter is also optional. The SuperLink PC-program can be used to monitor irrigation and climate control from a computer.
